First time homeowner, trying to install a water softener. Should I be softening both the hot and cold water? Just the hot? Just the cold?
The installation schematic in the manual shows both being softened, but I am seeing conflicting info online. Also, if I was to soften both hot and cold, I would have to do a little more plumbing, which isn’t a problem, I just want to know if I should do that or if it would be unnecessary.
