I currently live in Florida, and am moving to Baltimore, MD in 2 to 3 months. I’m getting worried about being able to line up a job before we move, as if/when I go up again it will likely be for the weekend because I hate missing work. Obviously the interview is an extremely important part of the hiring process, and I’m not sure how I would go about this. Even if I did fly up for an interview, if it did not pan out that would be at least $600 down the drain, which I can’t afford to do especially more than once.
The other obstacle is that I know in this industry when a company is hiring, they need someone now. It’s not like an office salary job where you can get a job and start date 2-3 months out. My company is hiring right now, and if someone said they could start in a couple months, I highly doubt management would wait that long for someone to fill the position.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
